Mission Statement

The Allergy & Asthma Center, PA is committed to providing high-quality specialty care to our patients in a cost-effective and efficient manner. We take great pride in our reputation as a patient friendly, respectful, and comfortable office.  We listen to our patients, focus on their symptoms, and develope individualized treatment plans based on their problems and needs.  We continuously strive for improvements in patient care and make patient satisfaction a priority for our physicians and staff.  

History

The Allergy & Asthma Center, PA began in 1982.  The Center is the premier center for Allergies, Asthma and respiratory disorders in the Central Texas Area.  The Center includes three board certified physicians in Asthma Allergy and Immunology which helps us provide complete allergy and asthma care to all ages of patients.  What sets our clinics apart from the others according to patient satisfaction surveys is a friendly well-trained staff, a state of the art allergy injection area designed to maximize patient safety, and extended clinic hours for patient convenience.

Physician Staff

N.J. Amar, M.D. CPI

Dr. Amar is the owner and founder of the Allergy & Asthma Center, PA.  His medical training began in India where he was the top graduate in his medical school and pediatric residency.  After a few years of practice in India, he completed a pediatric residency at Downstate Medical School in New York and a Fellowship in Allergy & Immunology in Pediatrics at Rutgers Medical School in New Jersey and Internal Medicine at columbia University in New York City.

He is board certified by both The American Board of Pediatrics and The American Board of Allergy & Immunology.  He is a Fellow of The American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (FAAAAI) and The American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (FACAAI).  In addition, he is certified by The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) and APPI as a Certified Physician Investigator(CPI) in research.  He is also a member of the McLennan County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, The American Medical Association, and The Joint Council of Allergy and Asthma.  

Ephraim I. Thaller, M.D.

Ephraim Thaller, M.D. graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD in 1996.  He attended medical school at Texas A&M Health Science Center in Temple, Texas and completed a Pediatric Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas and then a Fellowship in Allergy & Immunogy at UTMB.  During his training, Dr. Thaller, received awards for outstanding research and outstanding teaching.  Dr. Thaller is certified in Pediatrics by The American Board of Pediatrics and in Allergy and Immunology by The American Board of Allergy and Immunology.  He is a Fellow of The American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of The Americna Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and The American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.

Paul  Scibielski, M.D.

Paul Scibielski, M.D. graduated from The University of Texas in Austin before attending medical school at Texas Tech Univrsity in Lubbock.  He completed a Pediatric Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.  He began his Fellowship in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas(UTMB).  He is board certified by The American Board of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and The American Board of Pedicatrics.
